WordPress Specialist
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customise, and maintain our WordPress website.
- Create and manage themes and plugins to enhance functionality.
- Optimise website performance, including speed, security, and scalability.
- Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
- Collaborate with the content and design teams to implement new features and designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs promptly.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings.
- Manage multiple WordPress sites efficiently, ensuring their maintenance and performance.
- Develop and maintain geo-location-based content to provide localized experiences.
- Implement language translation features for multilingual support.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a WordPress Specialist or similar role.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and best practices.
- Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and tools.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong portfolio showcasing managed WordPress sites, including examples of geo-location-based content and multilingual capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (WooCommerce).
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
