Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customise, and maintain our WordPress website.
• Create and manage themes and plugins to enhance functionality.
• Optimise website performance, including speed, security, and scalability.
• Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with the content and design teams to implement new features and designs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs promptly.
• Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings.
• Manage multiple WordPress sites efficiently, ensuring their maintenance and performance.
• Develop and maintain geo-location-based content to provide localized experiences.
• Implement language translation features for multilingual support.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a WordPress Specialist or similar role.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and best practices.
• Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and tools.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong portfolio showcasing managed WordPress sites, including examples of geo-location-based content and multilingual capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with e-commerce platforms (WooCommerce).
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
